Fourth place? This is an outrage!!! I risked my life insulting the POTUS for a fourth place finish? I can’t believe this. I’m calling my attorney’s, Pinkie, Binky & Mao, P.A. We’ll sue. We’ll get a stay of execution. We’ll file a writ of Hannibus Lectorus. I’m not sitting still for this. It’s not fair. Phil’s character was merely dreaming. My character was drinking heavily and sweating profusely. That should count for something. If I have to, I will take this all the way to the Supreme C… Hmmm, on second thought, maybe I should seek arbitration. I think I’ll go work on my concession speech. It should probably start with something like…
Congratulations Phil. I blame myself. I never should have given you a first place vote. But what could I do? You deserved it!

My narrator was dreaming heavily and worrying profusely, so we should have tied.

Ilana and I are pleased you liked both stories. We both voted for them, too. Just saying.

    Thanks Nam.

I take it Dean and Robert didn’t vote? That’s a bummer. When you see them tell ’em I want my votes back. Wait till I get my hands on those two. I will give them a huge piece of my incredibly small mind. Wait Aaah. Whatever.

Well… I’m going on vacation. This whole Supreme court nomination has me exhausted. I’ve had to learn new words…(boof, squi) and deal with knowledge of how little fun I had as a young man. (Never attacked anyone, never drank beer with my ass.) Turns out I’ve lived a shockingly sheltered life.

It’s comforting to know though, that on those occasions when I DID wake up in a gutter, (I think it was a gutter. It smelled like one.) I was enhancing my qualifications for a position with the judiciary. Who knew?

In another twenty years or so, I should be qualified to be a senator. (Male, white, constipated and nearly dead.) Or so it would appear. Okay kids. Gotta run. There’s chocolate ice cream in the fridge with my name on it. (My middle name is Breyers.)

Going on vacation? From what I can see in your posts on FB and here, you seem to be on vacation all the time. Really, you work for a living? Seriously? Whodathunkit?

Congrats to the top authors. I voted for both Phil and Ilana in that order, too. I thought that Ken’s story was also excellent, and he has been on a tear lately, so I, for one, would like to know what he’s drinking or taking or smoking, so I can get my hands on some. If it’s legal that is. Not so much his stories, but his responses. Maybe he should write like that> No, wait, he already does. I also assumed after seeing the results that both Robert and Dean did not vote. It’s OK, I guess, but I wish they would have. It gives more validation to the top stories.
