Your comment popped in at the same time I was writing my one below …
Many thanks Ken, Alice and David!
There were many superb stories, so it’s a surprise and a great pleasure to get people’s votes – for which thanks everyone and well done to all.
Though the story was mostly fictional, my mother was certainly the inspiration for it. There are a couple of her actual sayings in there, and a kind of recreation of her ‘good grief’ style of observation. It’s also true the family bought her her first computer when she was 80 and she signed up for every class she could find.
I wrote the story just three days after the anniversary of her passing seven years ago. I think of her every day, but I guess she was more on my mind at this time, and may even have had a hand in the writing 🙂
Congrats Andy. Well deserved and Phil too. In fact, great stories.
Many thanks, Ilana!
Looking forward to your one this time 🙂
Congratlations Andy, well deserved.
Many thanks, Maud!
Good crop of stories again, congratulations to you all.
